Living Gallery Celebration: Community Gathering, Picnic and Natural Dye Workshop

from $1.00

Living Gallery Picnic at Snyder Park

You’re invited to gather with us for a Living Gallery Picnic at Snyder Park — a simple, come-as-you-are afternoon to eat, relax, and enjoy our art together in nature.

🗓 Monday, April 13
⏰ 11:00–2:00 PM
📍 Snyder Park

Bring a blanket, pack a lunch, and settle in. This is a chance to slow down, connect, and spend time together surrounded by art we have created, conversation, and the park.

We’ll gather in the Snyder Park’s Children’s Garden in the evolving Living Gallery by Art History in the Park—a collaborative outdoor art space built by children and families during our workshops. The Living Gallery is part of Snyder Park’s Circle of Life experience and continues to grow each season as a reflection of community, creativity, and care.

As part of the afternoon, there will be a guided Gallery Tour at 11:30 and an optional opportunity to naturally dye Art History in the Park t-shirts using plant-based pigments, in collaboration with Fashion Design Play. Families who have pre-ordered shirts are welcome to take part in the dyeing process as a relaxed, hands-on experience.

Working with natural dyes connects us back to the materials artists have used for centuries — leaves, roots, bark, and minerals — and invites us to experience art history through making, observation, and time spent together.

✨ No two shirts will be alike — and no two picnic moments either.

If you’d like to participate in the t-shirt dyeing, pre-orders are available here:
