Art History in the Park Tee + Natural Dye Workshop

$38.00

This limited-edition Art History in the Park t-shirt features a blank front & our signature quote on the back:

“Art history is our human story told visually.”

Each shirt is hand screen-printed locally and includes participation in a natural dye workshop in collaboration with Fashion Design Play, using plant-based dyes to create subtle, one-of-a-kind variations.

We love working with natural dyes and pigments as part of art history — it’s a beautiful way to go back in time, reconnecting with the same materials artists have used for centuries. These pigments come directly from nature — leaves, roots, bark, and minerals — reminding us that color begins in the natural world. Before tubes of paint and synthetic inks, artists learned by observing, gathering, and transforming what was already around them.

This process invites us to slow down, notice color more closely, and experience art history through making — not just learning about the past, but physically engaging with it.

The dyeing process will take place during the launch of our Living Gallery at Snyder Park on Monday, April 13, from 12:00–2:00 PM, and is designed as a relaxed, creative, community-centered experience for all ages.

No two shirts will be exactly alike.
