We’ll explore the joyful, vibrant work of Alma Thomas, a pioneering abstract painter whose bold patterns and colors were inspired by nature, music, and the rhythms of everyday life. Families will learn how her life story and love of beauty shaped her unique artistic voice.
Visiting artist Heather Maloney will guide a movement-based and creative art activity inspired by Alma Thomas’s energetic compositions. Activities are open-ended and welcoming to all ages.
