Art History in the Park is a shared, play-based art history and art making experience designed specifically for families. Through our community classes, school programs and educator resources, we are working to put art back at the heart of education in order to re-center and to re-claim our collective art story.

Two colorful art books with titles 'Matisse Art Attitudes' and 'HUGHES RIMTASSE DRAWING with SCISSORS' are placed on a decorative tablecloth with intricate patterns. The books feature vibrant artwork and are positioned on a green-edged surface.

At Art History in the Park, we believe creativity is not reserved for a few — it is the birthright of every child.

Surrounded by trees and sky, we listen to nature — our third teacher — as we explore stories of art and artists from around the world. Here, families create together, discovering that art is not only history, but a living practice that connects us to place, to each other, and to ourselves.

We welcome you into this circle of learning, play, and wonder.

Nothing is art if it does not come from nature.

Nature is the source of all true knowledge. She has her own logic, her own laws, she has no effect without cause nor invention without necessity.
